Cannot Save or Open files

When I use the 'Save As..' or 'Open' commands, the file dialog window opens but does not provide any way for me to browse directories or enter file name/path data.

How are you all getting around this, or is it just my machine?

I'm using an IBM R50 Thinkpad, Windows Vista Business sp 2, 1.4 GHz processor and 1.5 gb RAM.

I'm very impressed so far with the combination of features for this tool, but this greatly hampers its usefulness.

Thanks in advance.

Click on Tools > Options and on the Settings page check the Use Standard File Dialogs option.

Thanks. Interesting option

Hi Joacim:
I got it set up and now can see my beloved, expected file browser tool. I'm now ready to rock and put out some awesome web pages.

Just out of curiousity, why is standard file dialog not set by default? I have used lots of Windows applications and having such a file dialog is pretty much the defacto standard. What is the thinking behind not having it be a standard setting for SourceEdit?

Thanks

SE has a "hacked" file dialog that combines the regular Open/Save dialog with the Open/Save FTP dialog and a recently used file list all in one tabbed dialog. Unfortunatly Windows Vista changed the appearance of the Open/Save dialogs so it doesn't work with Vista/Windows 7.
